QatarDebate – a member of Qatar Foundation for Education, Science and Community Development – in cooperation with the Police Academy, organized a training workshop in the presence of faculty members. The Police academy of officers and doctors will be held on December 2 and 4 at the center’s headquarters in Education City.
The workshop aims to apply Classroom debates and merging it with the subjects after three years of teaching the debates course as an elective subject.
Instructor A. Saad al-Assad said: “The participation of Police College students in local and international tournaments and arbitration has generated an increasing interest among those in charge of the college to apply the principles of debates in building positions and proposals and to benefit from the experience of doctors and officers to formulate proposals in various subjects in the form of cases with an explanation of their causes and a study of the feasibility of the skill of debate in strengthening The critical sense of law students.
Adding: “The workshop dealt with an interactive test between groups – as supporters and opponents – and the building of proposals in full and the extent to which they are adapted to educational and assessment methods on the Police College materials related to crime, commercial law, police sciences, emerging crimes and others .
