Doha – QatarDebate Center

To strengthen relations with the most prestigious universities in the United States, QatarDebate Center – a member of Qatar Foundation for Education, Science and Community Development – sent a delegation to the United States to expand the global outreach of debates and with deliberate steps to complement its plans and projects with prestigious universities in the region.

The delegation toured the States, starting at Massachusetts began with a mini-tournament hosted by Harvard University.
Followed by a visit to the University of Louisville in Kentucky, one of the oldest American universities, founded in 1798. The team continued to visit Indiana University, headquartered in Bloomington, Indiana.

Mr. Abdulrahman Al-Subaie, Outreach Programs Manager at QatarDebate, said: “QatarDebate’s activity has an exceptional impact in terms of supporting the content of debates, educational courses, and the partnerships it builds with universities”, adding: “This visit came as a new qualitative leap by proposing educational programs and courses in American universities, as well as a continuation of previous steps initiated by the Center, where it has academic courses in other universities that can be proposed for cooperation with the Universities of Louisville and Indiana, which included exchanging views on previous championships and discussing debates and promising future programs.”
