The 4th International Schools Arabic Debating Championship is underway

Under the patronage of Her Excellency Sheikha Hind bint Hamad Al Thani, Vice Chairperson and CEO of Qatar Foundation, the 4th International Schools Debating Championship in Arabic, organized by the QatarDebate Center at the Qatar National Convention Center, kicks off today, Saturday 7th April.

50 Arabic-speaking countries and 35 non-Arabic speaking countries will participate in the tournament. The participating countries, in alphabetical order, are: “Argentina – Spain – Australia – Albania – – Germany – Indonesia – Ukraine – the United States of America – Italy – – Pakistan – Panama – Brazil – Bosnia and Herzegovina – Poland – Thailand – Turkey – Czech Republic – United Tanzania – Tunisia – – Algeria – South Africa – Russia – Syria – Sudan – Sweden – Singapore – Serbia and Montenegro – Somalia – Iraq – Sultanate of Oman – Palestine – State of Qatar – Kyrgyzstan Kazakhstan – Canada – Kosovo – Kuwait – Colombia – Lebanon – Libya – Maldives – Malaysia – Morocco – – United Kingdom – Mauritius – Austria – Nepal – India.

Eight countries are participating for the first time: Russia – Kosovo – Spain – Thailand – Serbia – Albania – Poland – Kyrgyzstan.
The tournament aims to consolidate educational and cultural ties and links between the participating countries, and provide opportunities to strengthen and strengthen brotherly relations and exchange experiences between young people of Arabic and other languages.
