QatarDebate workshop for Diplomatic Institute staff

To implement ambitious programs supporting the activities and programs of Qatar institutions, a training workshop was started on Sunday, October 15th organized by QatarDebate Center (QD) a member of Qatar Foundation (QF), – targeting 30 participants of the Diplomatic Institute employees. The workshop included theoretical and practical lectures on debate skills in order to create a comprehensive view of the participants in various issues that are put on the platforms inside and outside the country.

Mr. Khalid Al Khulaifi – International Affairs Researcher – and former Arabic, and English Debater praised the importance of debate for a diplomat who needs to build a clear argument to convince others and to build the argument properly and rationally because the debate is a daily lifestyle and practice that we need both inside and outside the home. It organizes the bases of dealing with the various groups of society and roots the real balance is integrated among its members.

Sheikh Hamad bin Nasser Al Thani, International Affairs Researcher, said that the repercussions of the training workshop are very important especially for diplomats, they officially representing a country abroad at an embassy or an organization. The debate is a step towards a better and more successful future.
Noting that the constructive debate on the tricky issues and dealing with it on a scientific basis and clear criteria give satisfactory solutions to the divergent opinions.
The training workshop was presented by QatarDebate instructor Nazar Mukhtar, for 4 consecutive days.

It is worth mentioning that the Ministry of Foreign Affairs is striving to provide training in exceptional academic standards for employees in all fields in order to raise diplomatic efficiency in the management and follow-up of foreign affairs.
