QatarDebate, presented a workshop entitled “Leadership Dialogue, Debate & Public Speaking Skills Program” at the Qatar Hall of the Diplomatic Club from 18 to 22 June 2023.
The workshop, which was presented by QD debate specialist, Mr. Thaer Farhat, and in which 24 employees participated, comes within the strategy of the Diplomatic Institute to hold training workshops to develop talents and capabilities in a way that reflects the vision of a comprehensive diplomat who is capable of dialogue skills and represents the State of Qatar appropriately in international forums.

In this regard, Mrs. Maryam Al-Mohannadi, a third researcher in administrative development at the Diplomatic Institute, explained the compatibility of visions and objectives between the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and QatarDebate in the field of qualifying and building the capabilities of its employees on the skills necessary to perform diplomatic work, especially the skills of dialogue management, persuasion, speech, public speaking and debate skills.
She pointed out that the most important ways to develop diplomatic speaking skills start from improving the skill of diction and controlling tension while speaking, in addition to confidence and the ability to express ideas clearly and understandably, She stressed that the skill of persuasion, the ability to influence others, and the interest in developing effective communication skills, and non-verbal communication, such as body language, facial expressions, and how to deal with difficult situations, all of this comes through enhancing the methods of debate and dialogue.
