Under the kind patronage of Her Excellency Sheikha Hind bint Hamad Al Thani, Vice Chairperson and CEO of Qatar Foundation, QatarDebate, a member of Qatar Foundation for Education, Science and Community Development, is organizing the 4th International Schools Debating Championship in Arabic, which will be held at the Qatar National Convention Center during the current period. From 7-11 April 2018 with the participation of “50” countries representing “15” Arabic speaking countries and “35” non-speaking countries
There are 8 countries participating for the first time: “Russia – Kosovo – Spain – Thailand – Serbia – – Albania – Poland – Kyrgyzstan”.
What distinguishes this tournament from previous years is the participation of 35 non-Arabic speaking countries, despite the siege crisis.
QatarDebate organized a press conference to announce the fourth edition of the tournament in the presence of Dr. Hayat Abdullah Marafie – Executive Director of QatarDebate Center-, Mr. Ali Sultan Al Muftah – Director of Public Relations and Media – at QatarDebate – and Mr. Omar Al Shaibani – Head of Finance representing the sponsor The official of Qatar Primary Materials Company, and Mr. Mohammed Saad Al-Rumaihi – Director of Corporate Identity, Marketing and Communications at Al Jazeera Media Network – representing the media partner – Al Jazeera -.
