6th International Universities Debating Championship
17th – 22nd June 2022
The International Universities Debating Championship is a global event that brings students from different countries, to debate, discuss and exchange ideas in Arabic about the most pressing societal and global challenges and contemporary issues.
The international championship provides an opportunity for debaters around the world to get to know each other, exchange experiences and build bridges of communication based on dialogue and logic, in addition to raising the status of the Arabic language in an enriching and civilized medium.
6th IUDC in Türkiye
We are glad to be hosting the 6th iteration of the International Universities Arabic Debating Championship. This year, for the first time, the international championship has a new home as it will be hosted in Istanbul, Turkiye
Championship Schedule
The 6th international universities championship will be held from the 17th till 22nd June. Debaters will take part in 5 preliminary debate rounds leading up to the knockout stages, with the top 16 teams competing for a spot in the 6th IUDC grand final on the 22nd June 2022.

This championship will witness the participation of 92 teams from 50 countries, all are here for one goal, and that is the 6th International Universities Debating Championship title.
