About the World Summit for Social Development

The World Summit for Social Development is a crucial global event that brings together leaders from governments, international organizations, and civil society. Held in Doha, Qatar, from November 4-6, 2025, this summit is a follow-up to the 1995 Copenhagen Declaration, which focused on putting people at the heart of sustainable development.

This year’s summit aims to assess the progress of social development over the past 30 years and address new challenges like economic uncertainties, climate change, and the rise of new technologies. The goal is to strengthen global commitment to key issues such as eradicating poverty, promoting full employment, and fostering social inclusion, ensuring a more equitable future for all.
