“Let’s Debate” Competition

The first one on one debating competition in Qatar

 

We are pleased to announce the launch of  the first “one on one” debate competition in Qatar, a new fun and exciting competition for all members of the debate community in Qatar.

 

Competition Goals:

• – Increase debater’s self-reliance in the debate and encourage them to be independent.
• – A change in the normal debate championship routine.
• – Encourage debaters to speak fluently and to face the audience confidently.
• – Develop the skills of being precise in your talking points and efficiency in arranging and communicating ideas.

 

General rules:

• – Participation in competition is as an individual.
• – The competition is in a knock-out style.
• – Competition is in Arabic.
• – Motions are announced 15 minutes before each round.

 

Rules & conditions:

• – Participants age must be between 17 – 35 years.
• – Participants must be residents in Qatar to take part in the championship..
