“Youth Ambassadors program” organized by the Ministry of Culture & Sports

On Saturday, October 9, the fourth edition of the “Youth Ambassadors” program, organized by the Youth Affairs Department of the Ministry of Culture and Sports in cooperation with QatarDebate Center – a member of Qatar Foundation for Education, Science and Community Development – provided a training course dedicated to developing the participants’ interpersonal-skills as youth ambassadors for Qatar in international gatherings. The “Youth Ambassadors” program was held at the Qatar Scientific Club during the period from 2-9 October 2021.

QatarDebate Center designed a 16-hours training program tailored for the program participants. The workshop focused on empowering Qatari youth to represent the State of Qatar in an honorable manner in local and international conferences and forums.
The center’s debate coaches provided 16 skill hours on how to enrich the side discussions and questions that occur in international forums without prior preparation by giving them means to enable them to confront diplomatically and professionally.
Through this workshop, the Center seeks to explore supportive tools for developing dialogue skills among young people, building their own capacities, and being able to speak in various fields and issues.
30 young men and women between the ages of 22-35, participated in the “Youth Ambassadors” program.

The training course included daily seminars in addition to a closing day in which the groups were left free to choose a core issue that young people want to present and improve within the State of Qatar, such as women’s issues and their legitimate rights and what young people face from marriage problems and its consequences in addition to economic and political issues and many other topics.

The participants praised the attendance of such programs, which reflect awareness of their importance, especially that the State of Qatar enjoys a prestigious international standing and participates in various events.
