The 1st European Arabic Debating Championship, organized by QatarDebate Center – a member of Qatar Foundation for Education, Science and Community Development – will kick off today, Thursday, January 3, 2019 in Vienna, Austria.

The tournament will be held in – Vienna – from 3 to 5 January 2019, with the participation of “20” universities representing 15 European countries: Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, France, Germany, Kosovo, Macedonia, Poland, Portugal, Serbia, Spain, Sweden, Turkey, Ukraine, Czech Republic”

Through the tournament, QatarDebate seeks to spread the culture of dialogue in Arabic among non-native speakers, motivate students to pay attention to the language of civilized dialogue, and raise the level of discussion from a scientific and linguistic point of view.

The first day will be devoted to providing training workshops for students and arbitrators by the center’s trainers and ambassadors, in order to familiarize themselves with the most important standards that must be followed during the tours between the teams.
