Tasniem Hussain
Debate InstructorTasneem is a debate instructor at the English programs department at QatarDebate since 2012.
Tasneem began her debating career a long time ago, debating for IIU in Malaysia, and was the Best Speaker and Champion of most major local competitions. Regionally, she is a twice Asians Universities Debating Championship Finalist & Top 10 Speaker. At the World stage, Tasneem was the Champion and Top 10 Speaker of the Worlds Universities Debating Championship (ESL).
As an adjudicator, she was the DCA at the Worlds Universities Debating Championship as well as the World Schools Debating Championship, the Australasian Universities Debating Championship, Pan-African Universities Debating Championship as well as Intervarsity Debate Competitions around Asia & the Middle East. She has adjudicated at debate tournaments in over 15 countries worldwide and served on the board of the WUDC Council and WUDC Constitutional Reform Committee. Tasneem is currently based in Qatar, assisting in QatarDebate’s efforts to spread debate in the MENA region.
