QatarDebate organized the 1st Qatar Universities Debate League and the 1st Qatar Schools Debate league (girls) for debating in English. The Universities league that was hosted by Hamad Bin Khalifa University on the 21st of Oct. witnessed the participation of 75 debaters from 8 universities. Teams debated on the current GCC crisis and its implications/consequences on both sides, and how Qatar is now in a stronger stance and can withhold challenges. Abdullah Hamza - a previous debater at school's stage and now a debater at the university level: "Debating is a step towards a successful future because it motivates the improvement of the academic level". QatarDebate also organized the 1st Qatar Schools Debate League (girls) last week at Debakey High School with the participation of 168 debaters from 35 schools. Maha Haroon from Albayan school: "Debating gave me personal strength & moved me from being shy to a world full of intellectual challenges".
