Doha – QatarDebate

TOT Academy will take place on Monday 12 till Thursday day 15 November 2018; the workshop will be organized and hosted by QatarDebate Center (QD) a member of Qatar Foundation (QF), at student center, Education City.  The event will precede the prestigious 5th International Universities Arabic Debating Championship which takes place in March 2019, Doha – Qatar.

During this four-day event, around 26 international trainers from 22 Arabic-speaking and non-Arabic speaking countries, come together to attend a comprehensive training in the debate skills, public speaking, critical thinking, argumentation, motion analysis, and case building.

The Academy features participants from Bangladesh, Belgium, Bulgaria, China, France, Germany, India, Indonesia, Iran, Iraq, Jordan, Kyrgyzstan, Lebanon, Libya, Malaysia, and Morocco.

TOT academy is an initiative of QatarDebate Center to prepare coaches and judges who have high abilities and fully prepared to receive this training and deliver it to the participating teams from their country.

This workshop is customized specifically for the new educational institution that are participating for the first time in the 5^th International Arabic Universities Debating Championship 2019, or the new trainers that never attended trainings in the art of debate.

The workshop is aim to empowering the trainers with the required skills and information in the art of debating and its rules and adjudicating, and enhancing their abilities to offer the necessary training to the participating students.
